Plan the pick-up around your ship
Choose your terminal and tell us how you leave the ship and when your flight is. You get the pick-up time we would book, when you reach the airport and how much margin is left. For embarkation day, enter your landing and sailing times instead.

- 11:30Your driver meets you in arrivals
- 12:05At Terminal H (35 min planned)
- 16:30Approximate all-aboard time
Comfortable. 4 h 25 min of margin before all aboard. Check in at the time your cruise line gives you.
Book the airport to port transferA prudent plan, not a promise: times on the day depend on your ship, the luggage hall and traffic. Your cruise line’s instructions always prevail. Free waiting at the port is 30 minutes from the agreed pick-up time.
EES
The Entry/Exit System at El Prat
The EU Entry/Exit System registers non-EU travellers who enter the Schengen area for a short stay. It replaced passport stamps and has been in full operation since 10 April 2026. On your first entry under EES, the border police take your fingerprints and a facial photo; on later trips the check is usually quicker.
Registration happens at the first Schengen border you cross. If your flight comes from outside Schengen and lands in Barcelona, it happens at El Prat, before baggage claim. At busy times the queue can add time between landing and meeting your driver.

ETIAS
The travel authorisation that is still to come

Planning
Protecting your boarding time
- Allow extra time for the border check when you compare your landing with all aboard.
- We track your flight, and free waiting at the airport starts from the actual landing.
- If the margin is thin, fly in the day before: see flight delayed before a cruise.
- Check passport validity and entry rules on official sources, and with your cruise line for the ports you visit.

Questions from the bridge
Do I need ETIAS for my Barcelona cruise?
Not yet. ETIAS has not started; the EU will publish the start date on its official Travel to Europe website.
What is EES?
The EU Entry/Exit System, which registers non-EU short-stay travellers with fingerprints and a photo at the border. It has been in full operation since 10 April 2026.
Does EES slow down arrival at Barcelona airport?
The first registration takes a little longer and queues vary. Leave a margin between landing and your check-in slot.
Will the driver wait if the border queue is long?
Free waiting at the airport is 60 minutes from the actual landing. Message us on WhatsApp if you are still in the queue.
