The cruise port

Know your terminal before you land

Cruise ships in Barcelona berth at the Adossat Wharf, a long breakwater at the far end of the port. The World Trade Center pier next to the old town has had a single cruise terminal, Barcelona Sud, which is due to close at the end of 2026. Your driver goes straight to the terminal on your booking, so you never have to cross the port on foot with your luggage.

Schematic map, not to scale. Terminals open, close and change assignments: the terminal printed on your cruise documents always prevails.

Train to ship

From the platform to the terminal

Sants is Barcelona’s main long-distance station, with high-speed trains from Madrid, Zaragoza, Valencia and southern France. Many cruise passengers fly into another city and finish the journey by train. From Sants to the cruise terminals is a short drive across the city, usually 15 to 25 minutes depending on traffic, but by public transport it means a metro or bus plus the port shuttle with all your suitcases.

We give you a clear meeting point at the station and your driver waits with your name. Free waiting at Sants is 30 minutes from the agreed time; tell us your train number so we can follow any delay.

Ship to train

Catching a train after disembarking

If you continue by rail after your cruise, we pick you up at the terminal and drop you at Sants with time to find your platform and pass the security check that Spanish high-speed trains have at the station entrance. Book a train that leaves you a comfortable margin after your disembarkation time: ships rarely run late, but luggage halls on turnaround mornings can be busy.

Rail and cruise

Combining a train journey with your cruise

Travelling by train to Barcelona is a comfortable way to start a cruise if you fly into Madrid, Paris or another European hub first, or if you add a few days in Spain before sailing. High-speed trains carry large suitcases in racks at the end of each carriage, so arriving with cruise luggage is not a problem; the hard part is the last few kilometres from the station to the ship. That is the leg we take care of.

If your train arrives the day before sailing, we can also drive you from Sants to your hotel and pick you up there on embarkation day. Tell us the full plan and we set up each transfer with its own fixed price.
