Guide · Distances to the cruise port
How far is the Barcelona cruise port?
The cruise terminals are close to the city on a map, but they sit at the end of a breakwater beyond the old harbour. These are the distances and the drive times we plan with on a normal turnaround morning.

Why it is not a walk
Where the terminals really are
The cruise terminals on the Adossat Wharf are between 2 and 4 km from the city centre according to the Port of Barcelona: past the World Trade Center, over the port entrance and along the breakwater. With cruise luggage, children or a fixed boarding time, walking or changing between public transport and the port shuttle quickly becomes tiring.
The drive is short, but the last stretch is a single access road that fills up on mornings when several ships change passengers. That is why we plan with a range rather than a single figure.
Planning
Using these times
- Add the drive time to the margin you need: check-in slot on sailing day, airport check-in on the way home.
- On busy turnaround mornings plan with the upper end of each range.
- The planner on the home page calculates a pick-up time for your terminal and flight.
- Distances are the same at any hour; traffic changes the time, not the fixed price.

Questions from the bridge
How far is Barcelona airport from the cruise port?
About 15 km from El Prat to the Adossat Wharf. We plan 20 to 35 minutes depending on traffic and your terminal.
Can I walk from the city centre to the cruise terminals?
The terminals are 2 to 4 km from the centre along a breakwater with a busy access road. It is not a practical walk with luggage.
Does the price change if traffic is bad?
No. The price is fixed per vehicle when you book, whatever the traffic on the day.
How long is the drive from Girona or Reus airport?
Each is roughly 100 km from the port: allow about 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, more at busy times.
