The cruise port
Know your terminal before you land
Cruise ships in Barcelona berth at the Adossat Wharf, a long breakwater at the far end of the port. The World Trade Center pier next to the old town has had a single cruise terminal, Barcelona Sud, which is due to close at the end of 2026. Your driver goes straight to the terminal on your booking, so you never have to cross the port on foot with your luggage.

Schematic map, not to scale. Terminals open, close and change assignments: the terminal printed on your cruise documents always prevails.
The pick-up
Your driver waits in arrivals with your name
Whether you land at Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, your driver waits at the arrivals exit with a sign showing your name. We follow your flight, so if it lands early or late the pick-up moves with it, and you have 60 minutes of free waiting from the actual landing time for passport control and baggage claim. Before the day you receive the driver’s contact details, and you can message us at any time.
From the airport the driver takes the coastal ring road and the port access road to the Adossat Wharf. The drive usually takes around 20 to 30 minutes, depending on traffic and on which terminal your ship uses. You are dropped at the terminal entrance, next to the luggage drop where the port staff take your suitcases to the ship.
Honest comparison
Private transfer, airport bus or cruise line shuttle
Barcelona has good public transport, and an airport bus plus a port shuttle can be fine if you travel light and have time. The catch is the changes: getting large suitcases on and off two vehicles, finding the right stop near the bottom of La Rambla and waiting for the next departure, often after a night flight from North America.
Many cruise packages offer a shared transfer sold per person. It works, but you wait for the coach to fill and for other passengers’ bags. A private transfer is priced per vehicle, so for families and small groups it is often a reasonable alternative, and you leave as soon as you have your luggage.

Timing
Flying in on embarkation day
Boarding windows are set by your cruise line and printed on your documents, so check them before you choose your flight. A morning arrival usually leaves time for the drive and check-in at the terminal. Arriving the day before gives you a buffer if your flight is delayed or a connection is missed; in that case we can pick you up at the airport on the first day and at your hotel on sailing day.
If your flight lands well before boarding opens, ask us about a stop on the way, for example to leave someone at a hotel. Extra stops are agreed with the driver before you set off.

Frequently asked questions
How long is the drive from El Prat to the cruise port?
Usually around 20 to 30 minutes for about 15 km, depending on traffic and your terminal.
Where will the driver meet me?
At the arrivals exit of Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, holding a sign with your name. You receive the driver’s details before the day.

We track your flight and adjust the pick-up. You have 60 minutes of free waiting from the actual landing. If you need more, message us: extra waiting is agreed with the driver.
Do you go to every cruise terminal?
Yes, to every cruise terminal in the port. Tell us the terminal on your cruise documents, or send it later if it is not confirmed yet.
Is the price per person?
No, it is per vehicle and fixed before you book, with luggage included. A family of four pays the same as a couple in the same vehicle.
