The cruise port
Know your terminal before you land
Cruise ships in Barcelona berth at the Adossat Wharf, a long breakwater at the far end of the port. The World Trade Center pier next to the old town has had a single cruise terminal, Barcelona Sud, which is due to close at the end of 2026. Your driver goes straight to the terminal on your booking, so you never have to cross the port on foot with your luggage.

Layout
A row of terminals along the breakwater
The Adossat Wharf (Moll Adossat in Catalan) runs along the outer breakwater of the port. The terminals sit one after another along it, each with its own building, luggage drop and pick-up area. They are far enough apart that arriving at the wrong one with luggage means a real detour, which is why your booking should carry the terminal letter on your documents.
The terminals have been identified by letters. The older public terminals A, B and C are run by the Port; D and E are private terminals; and new private terminals are being added under the port plan. Which ship uses which terminal changes from season to season and sometimes from sailing to sailing.
What is changing
Terminals A, B and C, and the new G
Terminal C is demolished
Per the Port’s timetable, the current Terminal C is demolished in the last quarter of 2026, and a new public terminal is built on its site.
Terminal G opens
The new private Terminal G is expected to enter service in 2027, on the Adossat Wharf.
New public terminal
The old public terminals A and B are retired as the new public Terminal C comes into service; the plan is due to be complete by 2030.
On the day
Drop-off and pick-up at the terminal
On embarkation day your driver drops you at the entrance of your terminal, next to the luggage drop. You hand over your suitcases with their cruise tags, keep your carry-on and go through check-in and security.
On disembarkation day your driver waits at the pick-up area outside your terminal, with 30 minutes of free waiting from the agreed time. We confirm the meeting point by message, because the pick-up zones are organised by the terminal and can change on busy days.
One fixed price for the whole vehicle, luggage included, shown before you pay.
Getting there
From the airport, the city or Sants to the Adossat Wharf
All routes to the Adossat Wharf end on the same port access road, so the only real variable is traffic. From El Prat the drive is about 15 km, usually 20 to 30 minutes. From the city centre it is usually 10 to 20 minutes, and from Sants station 15 to 25 minutes. On mornings with several ships in port the last stretch can be slow; your driver plans for it.
There is no rail station on the wharf. Without a vehicle, the options are walking a long way along the port road or taking the port shuttle bus from the city end of La Rambla, which means reaching that stop first with your luggage.
