The cruise port

Know your terminal before you land

Cruise ships in Barcelona berth at the Adossat Wharf, a long breakwater at the far end of the port. The World Trade Center pier next to the old town has had a single cruise terminal, Barcelona Sud, which is due to close at the end of 2026. Your driver goes straight to the terminal on your booking, so you never have to cross the port on foot with your luggage.

  • Adossat Wharf · cruise terminals
  • World Trade Center · Barcelona Sud (closing end 2026)
  • City centre · La Rambla
  • To El Prat Airport · ≈ 15 km

Schematic map, not to scale. Terminals open, close and change assignments: the terminal printed on your cruise documents always prevails.

Hotel to ship

Sailing day from your hotel

Most pre-cruise hotels are in the Eixample, the Gothic Quarter, El Born, around Plaça d’Espanya or near the seafront. From any of them the drive to the Adossat Wharf is short, usually 10 to 20 minutes depending on traffic, but it is not a walk: the cruise terminals sit at the far end of a long breakwater, beyond the World Trade Center and the port entrance.

Your driver meets you at the hotel entrance and loads the luggage. Free waiting at hotels is 15 minutes, so plan to be in the lobby at the agreed time; checking out first is the easiest way. Choose “Barcelona hotel / city centre” in the widget and write the exact hotel name and address in the booking form, where you see the final fixed price before you pay.

Ship to hotel

Staying on in Barcelona after your cruise

If you are spending a few days in the city after disembarking, we meet you at the terminal pick-up area and drive you to your hotel or apartment. Many hotels let you leave luggage at reception before check-in time, so you can start exploring straight away. Free waiting at the port is 30 minutes from the agreed time.

Why not walk or take the shuttle

Short distance, awkward with luggage

On foot

Long and exposed

The walk from the bottom of La Rambla to the Adossat terminals is long and mostly along a road. With cruise suitcases it is not practical.

Shuttle bus

One more change

A port shuttle links the terminals with the city end of La Rambla, but you still need to reach it from your hotel with your bags.

Private

Door to terminal

One vehicle from your hotel entrance to the terminal door, with the driver handling the luggage.

One fixed price for the whole vehicle, luggage included, shown before you pay.

Frequently asked questions

How long is the drive from my hotel to the cruise port?

From most central hotels it is usually 10 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic and your terminal.

Can I walk from my hotel to the ship?

From the city end of La Rambla the cruise terminals are a long walk along the port road. With luggage, a vehicle is the practical choice.

Is the price the same for every hotel?

The widget shows the price from central Barcelona. When you enter your exact hotel address in the booking form, you see the final fixed price before you pay. For hotels outside the city, message us.

How long will the driver wait at the hotel?

15 minutes from the agreed time, as for any address. Please be in the lobby with your luggage at the pick-up time.

Can you store our luggage while we sightsee?

No, we do not offer luggage storage. Most hotels can keep your bags at reception before check-in or after check-out.

Can I cancel?

Cancellation is free with 24 hours’ notice or more, with a full refund. Closer to the pick-up a charge may apply, and inside the last-minute window (3 hours on normal days, 8 hours on weekends, public holidays and their eves) the booking can no longer be cancelled or refunded.
